A genre feels different in every city. Scenes are built for that local character.
Music culture is local before it is global
Charts flatten geography, but scenes grow from venues, neighbourhoods, collaborators and regular listeners. FreeQue Scenes are intended to gather a city and a sound into one living community.
A Melbourne electronic scene should surface its own artists, gigs and conversations. A Punjabi scene in Birmingham should be able to express a different rhythm and history. The combination of place and music is the point.
Build from participation, not empty numbers
Listeners can join by city, sound or both, while artists can be recognised in the places where their momentum begins. Counts and trends only appear once real participation supports them.
Scene pages currently provide structure with sample content. They will not claim communities that do not yet exist. Growth should come from real local contributors and moderation suited to each community.
