Beyond taste: how a music fingerprint can keep evolving

Genres are only the surface. Your habits, eras, risks and discoveries tell the fuller story.

Taste is a pattern, not a checkbox

Two people can both choose R&B and still listen in completely different ways. One follows new voices every week; another returns to a small group of classics. A music fingerprint is intended to recognise that difference.

FreeQue’s vision brings together artists, eras, moods, repeat listening and discovery behaviour. Each signal should be visible, so the resulting identity never becomes a mysterious number generated behind a curtain.

A fingerprint that moves with you

Musical identity changes. A new city, relationship, friendship or season can reshape what you reach for. The fingerprint is therefore designed to evolve rather than lock you into an old version of yourself.

This deeper layer will depend on real listening history. Until that exists, FreeQue will not invent it. When built, it can become the foundation for better discovery, transparent compatibility and a Passport that remembers the journey.
