FreeQue Next: measuring momentum without hiding the method
A rising-artist list should explain why an artist is moving, not simply announce a rank.
Momentum is movement, not size
The biggest artist is not always the artist growing fastest. FreeQue Next is envisioned around acceleration: changes in listening, saves, sharing, discovery and live activity over time.
That creates room for independent artists whose communities are small but moving with unusual energy. The list is meant to reveal a signal early rather than repeat the established charts.
A score people can inspect
The Momentum Score’s inputs and weighting should be documented. Suspicious activity needs to be filtered, and paid promotion must remain visibly separate from organic ranking.
There is no FreeQue Next ranking today because there is not yet enough real data to rank responsibly. Publishing an impressive-looking list from sample numbers would contradict the transparency the product is designed around.
