Tune In

Working now

Tune In is the FreeQue team's music and nightlife blog, in the spirit of tastemaker sites like Sounds Like. Algorithms only tell you what to play. Tune In tells you why it's worth playing: who the artist is, where the sound comes from, and what a night built around that music looks like. When a story mentions an artist who has music on FreeQue, you can play their songs right inside the story.

How it works

  • Picked by people, not a feed: artist spotlights, scene starter guides and culture pieces written by the FreeQue team.
  • Mix and match filters: genre, artist, location (Melbourne, online, anywhere) and story type (Music, Nightlife, Culture), plus search.
  • Read and listen in one place: artist stories play real FreeQue songs in the regular player, with a link to the artist's profile.
  • Nightlife guides help you plan a night out by sound, from finding a show to getting home safely.
  • Physical meets digital: record-shelf stories lead into the Vinyl Scanner and your Library.
  • Honest by design: no made-up events, dates, venues or ticket links. Pictures are marked as AI-generated illustrations.

Where it stands

Working now: a featured preview sits on Discover and the full Tune In page has six stories you can filter. There's a Teesra spotlight, a Hindi Rap starter guide and Melbourne nightlife guides. Verified event listings and guest writers come later.
